I am in Guadalajara, staying with my couchsurfing host who is a doctor and looks like a doctor from a Spanish soap opera. This is where I am staying. It's a little gated, 12 apt complex.

Cute, huh? Next, I will go to a musicians' house (note where I put the apostrophe) and see some live music tomorrow night!

Guadalajara is the second largest city in Mexico, after Mexico City. There are buses everywhere and they drive really fast. They are always either speeding up or slowing down. There's a street here called '16 de Noviembre.' Do you know what happened on that date? It's the main street in the city.

If you get to Mexico City, please go to the American Cemetery. Look for the grave of Catherine Grey Lynch: this is your great-great aunt, the first female Homeopathic doctor in Mexico.

Then please take close-ups of her stone; I have always wanted to find her. She used to come to visit us all in NJ from Mexico and manipulate our spines!

She was born June 23, 1873; she died in 1964 at 91.

I wish I was where you are. I love the Colonial cities, esp.Taxco and San Miguel de Allende

Love, Anne

Phil! I think it's awesome that you're in Mexico right now. You are one adventurous guy. Hey, I don't know if you have a facebook, but I just got one, so if you do, find me! Anyhow, I really like the shot with the fountain. I feel like you could have made the foreground "pop" a little bit more by bumping the contrast and maybe fooling around with different color temperatures before switching into b&w. I really like how you captured the water droplets though!
